Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about working with Program M Tax & Financial.

What documents do I need to bring to my appointment?

It depends on your situation, but our Tax-Season Checklist covers the most common categories — personal information, income documents, and anything related to deductions or credits you plan to claim.

How much do your services cost?

Pricing depends on the complexity of your return or the scope of the engagement. Reach out through the Contact page with a bit of detail about your situation, and we'll follow up with information suited to your needs.

Are you a CPA firm?

No. Program Management LLC is not a CPA firm and does not hold itself out as providing legal advice. Tax preparation is performed by a preparer holding a valid PTIN and an IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) Record of Completion.

Can you represent me before the IRS?

Representation rights for AFSP Record of Completion holders are limited to returns personally prepared and signed. If your situation requires broader representation, we'll let you know and can point you toward the right kind of credentialed professional.

Do you prepare returns for self-employed individuals and small businesses?

Yes. See the Tax Services page for the specific services we offer to individuals, the self-employed, and small businesses.

Do you handle cryptocurrency transactions?

Yes, cryptocurrency tax preparation support is one of our services — see the Tax Services page for details.

What if I received an IRS notice?

We can help review and respond to many IRS notices. As noted above, representation is limited to the rights an AFSP Record of Completion provides, which generally covers returns we personally prepared.

Can I submit my tax documents through the contact form?

No — please don't submit Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, passwords, or other sensitive personal information through the public contact form. A secure method for exchanging documents will be provided after initial contact.

Do you work with organizations or government agencies, not just individuals?

Yes. See the Business Services and Government Contracting pages for the professional and administrative support services we offer beyond individual tax preparation.
